Prerequisite competencies (text)

- showing intrest in contemporary art, other innovative social developments  and the specific fashion field - the student shows his/her enthusiasm in acquiring kwowledge of the fashion field/program  - the student is passionate about the chosen studyprogramme and discipline. An empetus to formulate critical view.  Knowledge of the basic principles of design, conceptualization and representation/imaging.  The student shows great imagination while developing the assignment.

Learning objectives (text)

The students:

- gather the research material from different sources and can rearrange personally and creatively  the results

- develop a concept through analysis and processing of the research material and translate this  in personal and innovative fashion designs.

- develop a balanced design with a powerful silhouette.

- present an innovative color and material selection.

- acquire basic knowledge in the principles of fashion design: lines, proportion, ritme, balance, referring to body, body versus movement

- can propose and present concepts and designs through graphic and digital imaging technology



Attitude:

the students:

- develop a critical and inquiring attitude in research

- develop the capacity for experimenting

- learn process based work

- enter into dialogue with the teacher

- can integrate commentaries into the work process

- develop the ability to report his/her work

- develop a self-critical attitude and independence

- show continuous motivation

- develop a logical workflow, regular and progressive within time limit 

- learn to deal with stress and deadlines


Course content

During the evaluation of the collection at the “final fitting (pas)” a selection is made by the jury members with regard to the presentation on the catwalk. A different style of presentation can be mutually agreed upon.
