Course content

Electronic commerce or e-commerce is a term for any type of business, or commercial transaction, that involves the transfer of information across the Internet. It covers a range of different types of businesses, from consumer based retail sites, through auction or music sites, to business exchanges trading goods and services between corporations. It is currently one of the most important aspects of the Internet to emerge.
These lessons will learn you how to plan and coordinate the creation process when building a Web site (or when having it built): Planning for a Good Site Design, Legal formalities, Designing for e-commerce, from Methods to Attract an Audience up to Online Payment Methods

Evaluation (text)

1st examination period
• In the course of week 8 (week of exams) students present website and discuss paper and website orally.
• Group assignment, peer assessment, paper: 10 marks
• Presentation & defending orally: 10 marks
• 2nd examination period
• Student needs to contact lecturer before 1st July to learn subject of the paper he/she will have to write and the specifications on the assignment.
• Paper to be handed in before 2nd exam period starts: 10 marks
• Paper to be defended orally during 2nd exam period: 10 marks
