Learning outcomes (list)

1. Physiology, care and guidance
The student is able to classify a CTG and report according to the FIGO guidelines
The student is able to listen to fetal heart tones and knows the fundamental physiology in this respect
The student is able to interpret fetal heart tones, report them and take appropriate action
After correctly classifying the CTG according to the FIGO guidelines, the student is able to take appropriate action
The student can sutture an episiotomy
The student can place an episiotomy
The student can infiltrate a perineum
The student can, when infiltration of the perineum, assess the functioning of the anesthetic
2. Risk detection and Risk selection
The student can apply risk selection in primary and secondary care based on casuistry
3. Pathology, care and guidance
The student has knowledge of the medication and risks used when placing an epidural anesthetic
The student can conduct an anamnesis interview in primary and secondary care, based on case histories
By means of case studies, the student can view and evaluate an appropriate policy in primary and secondary care
By means of situational cases the student can perform all necessary care actions in case of a pathological delivery in primary and secondary care
By means of situational cases the student can perform the first care of the neonate at a cesarean sectio
The student can provide pre- and postoperative care to a cesarean section patient based on situational cases
By means of situational cases the student can assist all care actions in case of an assisted delivery in primary and secondary care
The student can provide assistance with placing an epidural anesthetic
The student can consult the procedures concerning GBS.
The student can consult the procedures for induction.
The student can consult the procedures concerning a primary and secondary cesarean section
The student can place an infusion and administer IV medication
The student can replace and / or remove an infusion
The student can take required actions in pathological situations of labor, delivery and direct postpartum as well as reporting and evaluating
The student knows the influence of STIs on pregnancy and childbirth
The student expresses the indications, advantages and disadvantages, alternatives, dangers, complications and concerns of the administration of blood and blood derivatives.
4. Psycho-social context
The student describes the consequences of abuse on the behavior of the parturient and knows how to deal with this during labor and delivery
7. Collaboration and Communication
The student can give and receive feedback through self and peer assessment
10. Evidence-based midwifery
The student assesses scientific (professional) literature on quality using the forms of Evidence Based Practice
The student summarizes scientific (professional) literature
