Learning outcomes (text)

In this course we focus on the artist as an entrepreneur. We learn how to profile ourselves and how to find our position in the market. We learn how to make a strategic plan and how to plan a budget. We point out the different possibilities to raise money for a project and tackle the difficult topic of putting a price on our artwork. The lectures consist of basic theory, group discussion and participative case studies leading up to the presentation of a (fictional) project set up by the students. Thanks to this exercise the students immediately put theory into practice, learn to develop projects methodically and gain important experience in a protected learning environment.
