Learning objectives

The student has acquired insight in the growing processes of korund, beryl, diamond, quartz, tourmaline, zircon, spinel and their imitations and syntheses.

The student has developed a working proces with loupe and tweezers.

Theoretical information about the growing processes and properties of precious stones:Corundum family,Beryl family, Diamant,Quartz family,Tourmaline, Zircon, Spinel, Garnet...,imitations and synthetics
