Short description

As a real journalist you can work for the AP in-house media: Flash television, CRAP radio, the regional newspaper ‘De Triangel’ and our web platform journalistiek.ap.be.

Depending on your professional skills and preliminary training at your home institution, you’ll write news articles, online long reads, produce radio shows and programmes.

Television students produce  television reports and interviews for TV journals and, if required, they produce formats for clients. You are an active member of a team, that, depending on the circumstances, will consist of Erasmus members only, or a mixed group with Erasmus students and Flamish students.

This is a course that has limited places: max.3 for television, and for radio, online and print 5 or 6. 

The television course is only open to a) students of Journalism and b)  to students who have reached an advanced level in film editing and camera technique

There are no prerequisites for this course.

Course content

As a real journalist you can work for the AP in-house media: Flash television, CRAP radio, the regional newspaper ‘Den Triangel’ and our web platform journalistiek.ap.be. Depending on your professional skills and preliminary training at your home institution, you’ll write news articles, online long reads, produce radio shows and programmes.

If you are an student in TV journalism, you have to do or television reports and interviews for tv journals, and, if required, produce other formats for clients. The same goes for written journalism: you write articles and reportages for the hyperlocal newspaper Den Triangel, you keep the Triangel's website up-to-date, co-create two editions of a magazine, use social media to reach out to your readers and produce articles for clients.


This is a course that has limited places: for television 3 max., for radio, online or written journalism 5-6 for each medium.
The course television is only open to a) students of Journalism and b) to students who have reached an advanced level in film editing and camera technique.

For ONLINE JOURNALISM:

- We will adapt the content of the classes to the level and specific interests of the students

- You will contribute actively to our website, jou.ap.be

- You will write a personal blog

- You will participate in a group assignment: "Innovation in Journalism". For this assignment, you will work on a prototype for an innovative idea in journalism

- You will do experiments with 360° video

Study material (text): Mandatory

Students for TV Journalism have to use reports and other assignments of students of previous years, as study material. Those products will be fully analysed and commented on in class.

All study material will be provided during classes

Evaluation (text)

The evaluation is based on permanent evaluation (100%). Resit: student have to all assignments again they failed. Resit exam takes place only during the official resit period.

The weight and importance of the several assignments in detail will be made public in a digital document in the course file of Digitap, before the start of the first class.
