Lab engineer - Job analysis and Planning Lab activities
calculates with the different chemical concentration concepts.
draws up a chemical equation which is stoichiometric correctly balanced.
solves problems on chemical equations, dilutions, stoichiometry, acidity.
describes the structure of atoms and the periodic properties.
correctly applies the theory of chemical bonds (types of intramolecular bonds, the hybridization condition, Lewis formula, molecular geometry, VSEPR theory, angles, dipole moment,...)
describes the construction, characteristics and properties of molecules including the intermolecular powers.
handles the IUPAC (and trivial) nomenclature for compounds.
classifies inorganic compounds according to their compound class.
Lab engineer - Processing and Interpretation
calculates the composition and acidity of a buffer solution.
solves exercises concerning chemical reactions, acid-based, oxidoreduction and precipitation reactions.
applies the general principles of the chemical equilibrium (thermodynamics, equilibrium concentration, shifts, constants, Le Chatelier).
Lab engineer - Quality and safety
discusses the current concepts, signalisation, rules and instructions concerning safety, environment and hygiene.
