Learning outcomes (list)

Lab engineer - Job analysis and Planning Lab activities
reproduces the pre-analytical conditions schematically.
discusses the most important clinical relevant blood type systems.
describes the morphology, function and kinetics of the different white blood cells (myelopoiesis)
describes the mechanism of the primary and secondary haemostasis and fibrinolysis.
describes the properties of white blood cells and can link this to some non-malignant, pathological processes.
Lab engineer - Processing and Interpretation
describes the different coagulation tests and interprets them.
correctly interprets basic reference values of hematologic parameters.
interprets the influence of some therapeutic anticoagulant as part of monitoring.
interprets agglutination tests of the ABO and Rhesus system and antiglobulin tests.
