Lab engineer - Job analysis and Planning Lab activities
prepares for the practical sessions of haematological experiments.
identifies micro-organisms.
describes and interprets tests (Rhesus, ABO, Coombs) including problems in pregnancies.
prepares for practical sessions of medical microbiological experiments.
Lab engineer - Execution of laboratory activities
executes isolation techniques of micro-organisms.
identifies micro-organisms.
executes an antibiogram according to the dilution and diffusion method.
executes haematological tests (Rhesus, ABO, Coombs, foetal cells).
executes a blood collection on an artificial arm and bears the pre-analytical conditions in mind.
executes practice coagulations.
Lab engineer - Processing and Interpretation
calculates foetal cells as part of pregnancy and blood types.
interprets practice coagulations.
identifies abnormal non-white blood cells and abnormal red blood cells.
interprets the executed antibiogram.
interprets the result of serologic tests.
Lab engineer - Reports
reports clear and correct, using the proper biomedical professional terminology.
processes results in a scientific report.
