Learning outcomes (list)

Technical level. Creating a basic file
selects the correct graphics file depending on the goal
Technical level. Inventorizing data
digitalizes and vectorizes analogous originals using a scanner after analysis of the design and in function of the feasibility requirements
knows the importance of premedia-technical data in terms of image, typography and color for processing graphic media or cross-media publications
know the criteria for materials supplied according to their application (text, color, image, layout, typography,?)
knows the different graphic file types and their uses
knows at a basic level the current premedia-techniques and processes (screening, color management, trapping, dot gain, flattening,...)
Technical level. Respecting quality standards
has a basic knowledge of PostScript and PDF, and their relevance in the print-ready delivery of graphic files
Creative level. Developing a design
knows the basic concepts of digital imaging: vector, pixel, resolution, bit depth, compression, digital photography, image processing, ...
knows the basic tools to produce graphic arts expressions in function of feasability requirements
