Learning outcomes (list)

The professional bachelor in social educational care work actively contributes (on micro-, meso- and macrolevel) to increase understanding and commitment concerning ethical, normative and social issues related to the profession. He acts in accordance to the universal rights and values.
The student adequately, independently and critically analyzes various written sources and processes them as applications of theoretical presentations
The students analyzes the acquired information from the scientific literature and current newspaper articles and reflects on these subjects
The student maps out the historical evolution of youth and criminal law and sums up the various measures for minors in voluntary and coercive assistance as well as the sanctions for adults
The student is able to analyse a new and complex case based on his theoretical knowlegde. The student does research about the case in his search for an answer. The student works logical, structured and creative in his search for a solution. The student evaluates his solution.
The student applies the acquired insights regarding liability-legal capacity in the guidance of and care of various target groups
The student reproduces the basic knowledge on structures and institutions in Belgium as well as some general concepts of civil law, such as law of persons, family law
The bachelor in social educational care work adapts his professional agogical conduct by making use of critical self reflection, recent insights from scientific research and local, European and international evolutions.
The student reproduces the conceptual framework regarding the given theoretical frameworks and the given scientifical knowledge
