(having finished at least 60 ects credits in programme part (year) 1) AND having passed, or having a tolerated mark for Criminal law/3 AND having passed, or having a tolerated mark for Law of criminal proces/4.

Learning outcomes (list)

Masters legal jargon in Dutch, French and English.
The student knows the basic concepts of juvenile justice, can explain and understand them or place them opposite or in addition to the already known concepts of criminal law
Systematically makes use of professional business sources and critically interprets the derived information before acting upon it;
The student can apply the law on youth law and do research work
Understands law fields and aspects most relevant to the business world; he/she can resolve less complex practical problems within these fields.
The student places juvenile law in a broader legal context, as opposed to criminal law, civil law (family law and liability law), judicial law and in an international legal context);
The student has insight into the establishment of youth law and can find its basic principles in current legislation
The student has insight into the landscape of actors involved in juvenile justice;
The student can place Belgian youth law in the social context of our society, place current events and developments and take a critical view.
Prepares, handles and follows up, independently or as part of a team, legal case/files within the confines of applicable regulations, procedures and guidelines within the para-legal profession.
The student can, from a factsuit, ask the relevant questions for a legal solution, then come to legal correct solutions.
Reflects critically when planning his/her work and is results driven;
The student can translate a statement of facts into a possible legal correct solution;
