uses chemical terminology correctly
can calculate the concentration of a substance in moles per liter and can work with percentages
can explain the different types of bonding (ion bonding, covalent bonding, metal bonding)
can make a connection between the properties and the structure of chemical classes (with the help of the periodic table of elements)
can select and describe suitable separation methods to separate mixtures and to isolate pure substances from mixtures
can draw the atomic model using the periodic table
can determine the type of mixtures based on the state of aggregation or information on particle size of the components
explains the solubility of substances in water and applies this to hardness and acidity
writes simple redox reactions
