Short description

IPCIHC is a memo for Interprofessional Collaboration in Health Care. This interprofessional schoolproject involves each year more than 950 students from the university colleges in Antwerp. During a period of five days you get strongly involved in an amazing healthcare study. Together with a small group of other students you learn to analyse many cases from different points of view such as: ethical principals, your own competences, the perspectives of the patient. With your group of nurses, doctors, social workers, psychologists, physiotherapists, pharmacists, and so on, you experience how it is to work together in an interprofessional health care team.

Course content

IPCIHP is a memo for Interprofessional Collaboration in Health Care. Every year, this interprofessional project, is organized for more than 950 students from all the university campuses in Antwerp. During 5 days you exercise in small groups with nurses, doctors, fysyotherapists, psychologists and so on, how you can collaborate from a mix of health professions. Together you make an ECF plan, you discuss ethical health problems, you learn to communicate in an interdisciplinair group, discuss cases where patients need a beter approach and so on. Your guideline is a portfolio and you need to fulfill the questions and tasks during this week. You als learn a lot about your own competences and those of the groups members  through self and peer assessments.
