to be taken together with Intro to Server Management OR previously registered for Intro to Server Management.

Learning outcomes (list)

02: Execution systems: installs, configures and tests clients and servers in a professional virtual or physical environment.
The student allows two network operating systems to work together.
The student installs and configures infrastructure services on both network operating systems (DHCP, DNS, NAT, filesharing).
The student builds a network environment (choice of OS, choice of services, configures network components) by means of the appointed requirements.
The student implements centralised policy rules on computer and user level.
The student rolls out software.
The student executes configurations through GUI or scripting.
06: Guarantee of continuity: determines proactively what is needed to guarantee the continuity of the system- and network infrastructure of the organisation and introduces these needs to the relevant party in question.
The student uses back up and recovery tools.
10: Communication: Collects information, documents, communicates and reports on the provided work, attuned to the target audience. Uses appropriate foreign jargon for this.
The student documents a network environment.
03: Maintenance: Implements and maintains operating systems, applications and network services and supports users.
The student manages the network environment and the network services with tools from the various operating systems.
The student solves, in a direct way, problems that occur in the network environment.
