Learning outcomes (list)

The student correctly uses hand tools like sliding caliper, calibers, micrometers and spirit level and interprets the measurement results.
The student executes mechanical base measurements and tests.
The student looks for data about machine parts in function of the calculation of the operating parameters.
The student handles the pillar drill machine and the laser device in a safe and sound way.
The student describes the phenomenon of friction between surfaces, the kinds of friction and lubrication conditions.
The student describes different types of lubricant, their properties and scopes.
The student selects the tools to use at mechanical machining operations.
The student enumerates the uses of tension and design techniques (lathe, miller, drill, grinder, welder and sheet iron work).
The student prepares a lathe, miller or drill press with an eye on the safe functioning and use of the correct PMB.
The student justifies the used welding technique by means of a work assignment.
The student describes important machine parts and connection techniques and their application field and enumerates the characteristics.
