| The student enumerates the most important parts of suction, centrifugal and special types of pumps and discusses the functioning principles. |
| The student explains the functioning principle of a steam turbine and enumerates the parts and scopes. |
| The student dimensions an installation (pipe diameter, NPSH) in function of the kind of application. |
| The student substantiates the correct choice of a pump, compressor and/ or ventilator in function of an application. |
