Learning outcomes (list)

The student illustrates, by using examples, the different mechanical and electric properties of threads and wires.
The student explains the properties which are mentioned on ZAVD.
The student classifies the different nets by means of their function.
The student reproduces the different security components which are used in different industrial installations.
The student describes the construction of MS and LS cables.
The student justifies the different components that are used in a switch gear.
The student explains the terms external net, cable, transformer, load, generator and motor.
The student explains the connection between dangers linked to the use of electricity and external influences / circumstances.
The student explains the current carrying capacity by means of the environmental conditions.
The student explains the relation between the function and the tension level.
The student identifies the external influences with regard to a specific installation to get to the link between the degree of protection of electric materials and their application.
The student formulates the electric behaviour of a distribution network on the basis of properties and voltage levels.
The student executes a simple cable calculation.
