Learning outcomes (list)

BA3 - The student knows about and understands the social, cultural, artistic, historical and international context of the visual arts and artistic praxis, and continues to develop this knowledge and understanding.
The student is aware of contemporary artistic developments and their societal context.
BA4 - The student develops and sharpens his/her critical and investigative attitude towards designs and/or realizations that arise from visual experiments and research, emotion and intuition.
The student can process the comments of the lecturers.
The student has a thorough work attitude.
The student is self-critical, research-oriented, able to experiment in a goal-oriented manner, can push his boundaries and develop a new vision.
BA5 - When developing his/her personal visual language the students starts from a searching and reflective attitude when developing one's own visual language.

Course content

An introductory research to the specific properties, possibilities and restrictions of various materials
such as metal, textile, wood, plastics… and applying these parameters into a contemporary design (jewel/object).
Filling out the given commands after prior investigation, analysis and creative processing of relevant research material supplied by different sources
