The student can (if interest, necessity, and skill allow) play a figured bass.
The student can (if interest, necessity, and skill allow) play using variation techniques.
The student can harmonise more complicated melodic lines.
The student can make more complicated simplifications of accompaniments by the reduction of the basic harmonic material.
The student can make more complicated chord progressions him- or herself.
