Course content

In Mapping we aim to offer you a range of stimulating and practical experiences, such as visiting schools and social organizations, working in group on a real-life case, blogging about your personal perceptions, joining a workshop about integration and migration and so on.

The goal of Mapping is to give you a framework that will help you to cope with actual and future challenges towards living and working in a metropolitan context. At the end of the course we expect you to establish a critical but constructive opinion about social work and education in Antwerp and your own city.

In addition, we will stimulate you to explore cross-overs that can be made between social work and education in a metropolitan context. Overall, our expectation is that ‘Mapping’ will extend your confidence in your own abilities and clarify your individual professional needs for working in a metropolitan context.
