Short description

The current business environment is rapidly changing. New challenges on economic, social and ecological level are occurring every day, leaving businesses with a need for agile solutions that can help them deal with these challenges. In the first part of the course Environmental Management, we will look into these challenges, creating context for the current business environment. In the second part of the course, we will discover some possible solutions to these challenges, covering topics like circular economy, social entrepreneurship, digitalisation and corporate social responsibility. The course is taught as a blended learning course, giving you access to all content online and inviting you to class to work on cases and projects.

The student understands and analyses the economic, social and ecological challenges that impact on decisions taken by organizations.

Course content

The content of this class consists of 2 parts. In the first part, we will take a look at the new economic paradigms and discuss the economical, societal and ecological challenges which we face while doing business today. In the second part, we discuss the topic of CSR: introduction, practical implementation and the future of CSR.

This course is a blended learning course which is a combination of online modules and classroom sessions. All information will be communicated through Digitap. The first classroom session is mandatory.Corporate sustainability and responsibility in the current economic environment, society and world of climate change.
