MA1 - The student has an artistic and autonomous attitude and continues to develop his/herown art practice.
The student has acquired insight into the field of visual art by acquainting himself with various examples of art organizations and institutions.
The student has, by analyzing the mission and the strategic goals of the organizations presented and seeing how these translate their goals into daily operations, acquired knowledge about strategic planning.

Course content

The course offers a theoretical introduction to the history of management, and insight into the current interpretation and challenges of art management and the broader management practice. We highlight a number of examples that demonstrate the importance of innovation, and what impact innovation and IT have on the organization of contemporary art practice. We further introduce some important actors in the arts field.
