Learning outcomes (list)

1.4 The student makes music in an artistic project in a creative manner.
The student learns to compare his or her own performance with those of fellow students and with examples from professional life and is able to reflect critically on this.

Course content

Each duo (voice-piano) receives at least a 30 minute lesson per week. Regular attendance at and observation of the lessons of fellow-students is advised. Students will be required to make an important choice from the works of Schubert, Schumann, Brahms, Wolf and Pfitzner amongst others for German repertoire, and from Fauré, Duparc, Debussy, Ravel and Poulenc for French repertoire. Other composers are also, of course, possible (Beethoven, Mahler, Berg, Schoenberg, R. Strauss, Mortelmans, Roussel, Bartok, De Falla, Hindemith, Messiaen etc).
