Learning outcomes (list)

1.1 The student independently broadens and explores repertoire related to his or her discipline.
The student has knowledge of the HaFaBra repertoire and is capable of analysing a score in such a manner in terms of stylistic authenticity, direction, performance and rehearsal technique such that he or she can achieve a result during the rehearsal which
1.2 The student masters the internationally used stylistic performance practice standards.
The student directs in a mature way and establishes an engaging interpretation in conformity with international stylistic standards.
1.3 The student can take on a leading role in an ensemble.
The student has a clear and effective directing technique, controls tempi and elicits from the ensemble an energetic group dynamic and fluent ensemble playing.
1.5 The student can move his or her public through the means of artistic dialogue.
The student moves the public with his or her personal vision and artistic drive and can work independently.
2.1 The student has thoroughly mastered musical parameters and structures.
The student masters the musical parameters (such as form, rhythm, melodic line, dynamics, intonation, articulation) and displays an understanding of harmony and analytical thinking-skills.
2.3 The student can process musical structures through analysis and interpretation.
The student is able to make an in-depth analysis aimed at speeding up the rehearsal process. The student can implement this analysis in his or her conducting technique: the theoretical approach is converted into movements which are supported by the group
The student develops his or her own interpretation of HaFaBra repertoire by means of short periods of observation, arranging, and the orchestration of his or her own compositions.
2.4 The student has acquired the correct playing techniques and posture.
The student leads the orchestra in all areas and raises it to a higher level by means of verbal communication and specific conducting movements.
The student works in a team (with other artistic disciplines) on the creation of his or her own artistic concept.
Through the practical experience of conducting a highly qualified (amateur) orchestra, the student demonstrates that he or she is able to work in a contollling and constructive way during a rehearsal by virtue of his or her communicative attitude.
4.1 The student has extensive knowledge of the broader cultural and (musical) historical context and can use this in his or her artistic practice.
The student can put together a varied exam concert programme in which, in addition to the overture, his or her own work, and a major work, one or more soloists will be accompanied.
