Learning outcomes (list)

1.2 The student masters the internationally used stylistic performance practice standards.
The student acquires knowledge and understanding of choral literature from all stylistic periods, from renaissance to contemporary choral music.
1.4 The student makes music in an artistic project in a creative manner.
The student gains various experience with choirs: he or she is capable of directing a chamber choir, a pre-professional choir, an amateur choir, a professional choir.
The student develops his or her own interpretation of choral repertoire by means of short periods of observation.
1.5 The student can move his or her public through the means of artistic dialogue.
The student is able to direct a choir in the presence of the public.
2.2 The student builds up expertise through organisation and independent study.
The student can apply in practice the various stages involved in learning a choir work.
2.3 The student can process musical structures through analysis and interpretation.
The student is able to make an in-depth analysis aimed at speeding up the rehearsal process.
The student can adequately analyse the evolution of the rehearsal process and the rehearsal technique of the conductor.
2.4 The student has acquired the correct playing techniques and posture.
The student further develops his or her beating technique.
3.1 The student can employ his or her social and communication skills in order to take on a leadership role.
The student is able to communicate adequately with a choir.
4.1 The student has extensive knowledge of the broader cultural and (musical) historical context and can use this in his or her artistic practice.
The student is able to apply and discuss choral literature him- or herself.
4.3 The student can present orally and in writing the results of critical (self-)reflection.
The student can crtically relfect on his or her exam concert programme.
