Course content

With each new intake of students , the Master programme will begin with an intensive exchange among the students, mentors and coordinator about the studentsā€˜ existing as well as envisioned practices.

Each student shares with peers and mentors their ideas and questions for their proposed research and artistic project for the MA. They relate that to their past and current artistic practices. Peers and mentors give feedback and try to support each other through further questions, references, ideas and critical thought.
This exchange can be conversational (through talks and written exchange) as well as practical (through showing embodied ideas or sharing exercises/tasks with the group).

The exact methodology of each workshop is facilitated by the mentor in conversation with the students. Discussions, reflections and studio practice relate to creating frameworks and methodologies to embrace the embodied practice as well as the research aspects within an artistic practice. Each student documents and reflects on the experiences and results of this workshop in a written and/or visual (drawing, photo, video) assignment.
Its word count resp. exact form is determined by the teacher. This documentation and reflection will become part of the individual portfolios that each students starts in module 1.
