Learning outcomes (list)

BA2 - The student has the necessary knowledge, skills and insights regarding material, form, action, concepts, function and contents of the chosen medi
Students have knowledge of the surface muscles of the human body and can recognize them on the body of a living model.
Students can draw the living model as an anatomical study drawing in which they use the skeleton as a structure and carrier of the surfacel muscles of the human body.
Students have developed an insight into the human body as a movement device and can apply this knowledge within the study of living model.
The student can artistically translate these aspects into a 2D support.

Course content

Anatomy:
Important bones, but especially the muscles and tendons are further analysed and discussed in relation to their function. Fat tissue and veins - lying more at the surface - are also treated. The relation between the exterior form and the internal structure is further investigated, not just the bone structure but also the muscles, fat tissue, etc.
Fysiological aspects in relation to the functioning of the human body is touched upon. Alert and precise perception as well as learning to see analogies is stimulated, e.g. in learning the similarities but also the differences between the upper and lower limb, depending on its function. Applying anatomical knowledge by artists, is further discussed by using living models, existing art works and plaster models.
