Prerequisites

(having passed Costume shaping 2 OR having passed Costume shaping 2) AND (having passed Costume design 2 OR having passed Costume design 2) AND having passed Concept dramaturgy 2 AND having passed Internship/Projects Costume Design 1.

Learning outcomes (list)

BA1 - The student has the necessary artistic skills to design and/or realize a personal project within the broad spectrum of the visual arts under supervision.
The student demonstrates passion and can independently carry out the given assignments and demonstrates.
The student is able to independently realize his aspirations as an autonomous artist / designer both on an artistic, substantive, technical and social level.
The student can realize a site-specific object/intervention (in various materials).
The student can come up with a autonomous project and give shape to it.
The student can independently draw up patterns and apply coupe studies
The student can solve a problem about form, content and technical realization
BA2 - The student has the necessary knowledge, skills and insights regarding material, form, action, concepts, function and contents of the chosen medi
The student has the necessary technical insights and skills.
The student can, if necessary, in addition to formal and practial knowledge, gather information concerning historical, social, sociological aspects.
The student can convert a technical drawing via a pattern to a 3D version.
BA4 - The student develops and sharpens his/her critical and investigative attitude towards designs and/or realizations that arise from visual experiments and research, emotion and intuition.
The student can work independently and critically and experiments in with technical and artistic aspects.
BA5 - When developing his/her personal visual language the students starts from a searching and reflective attitude when developing one's own visual language.
The student has developed his own imagery at advanced level.
The student can respond to changes and testifies of serendipity and flexibility.

Course content

Independent research and the development of a personal visual language are central to the 3rd bachelor. 

The student must be able to freely interpret and shape an assignment.
Some social relevance is expected.

Material research is personal and broad and always departs from the student, supplemented by techniques (by the teacher) tailored to the subject/research.

The concept of costume can be broadly interpreted; the connection to the human body remains.

Deepening the understanding of tailoring; the student is able to go through a complete process of taking measurements - drawing up a pattern - toile - technical analysis and problem solving - end result.
Developing and executing a design for a tailor-made jacket including the necessary interior work is part of the teaching programme.
