The subject matter for the master's degree is a global package that is spread over the two years. The weekly lesson forms the basis. The students also attend classes of fellow students and are encouraged to do so. It goes without saying that this must not stand in the way of the purely individual treatment of certain problems. A flexible policy is applied in this area. Responsible performance practice and preparation for public performance are practised in the group lessons, in which a finished repertoire piece is performed and evaluated. The 'prima vista' is also practised in these group lessons, in which the students receive their assignment in the course of the day and play it in front of the class. Whenever the opportunity arises, a concert visit is organised. Every year, a study trip takes place: this is a practical week on the road. This excursion is primarily a working trip: one of the major organ types is studied and played intensively. The organ lessons themselves are spread over several instruments. This is an absolute necessity for those who want to be ready for professional life after their studies. In the course of the years, the conservatory has acquired a patrimony that, in terms of variety and quality, belongs to the top in Europe. Agreements have been made with various churches in and around Antwerp, such as the Cathedral with its 2 organs (Schijven 4 manual organ of 1891 and Metzler 3 manual of 1993), St Laurentius (3 manual), Walcker from the Protestant Church (2 manual 1905). In addition, the study organ of the conservatoire is at the disposal of the students 24 hours a day. For reasons of accessibility, this is located in the weekly chapel of St Laurentius' church, a 5-minute walk from the Conservatory.
