2.2 The student builds up expertise through organisation and independent study.
The student learns orchestral excerpts independently but consults the principal teacher for advice.

Course content

The students prepare themselves to be able to work as a professional within an orchestra. To this end, they study relevant passages for their instrument from the orchestral repertoire (passages which are frequently asked for at audition) and concerti or solo works which are frequently asked for at audition in professional orchestras.
