problem solving
describes the accurate location (organ and / or intracellular compartment) where the the metabolic processes take place and explains its importance.
describes the etiology, symptoms, treatment of atherosclerose by means of a change in physiology
describes for all groups of biomolecules (carbohydrates, fats, proteins and nucleic acids) the digestion, absorption, transport through the body, and the uptake in tissue cells.
shows differences and similarities between the catabolic and anabolic pathways of the same group of biomolecules.
identifies the different metabolic pathways in an organ, a nutritional condition and by nutrient
finds a collection between the etiology, symptoms, treatment and (long-term) effects of diabetes by means of a change in physiology
explains the metabolism of alcohol, fructose and hemoglobin
explains how the activity of key enzymes is regulated in the metabolism.
explains the disruption of the normal physiology caused by metabolic disorders (eg. porphyria) or over-consumption (eg. alcohol, fructose)
