Learning outcomes (list)

The associate reads and interprets electrical, thermodynamic, hydraulic and aerological as well as simple P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagram) schemes and drawings and consults technical information, also in at least one foreign language.
The student calculates the cooling load for a building using the calculation program "hourly analysis program" by Carrier.
The associate works in a socially responsible, sustainable and qualitative way and applies safety guidelines and regulations in the domain of HVAC systems.
The student calculates the thermal resistance, the thermal transmittance coefficient and the heat flux in the heat transfer for different constructions.
The student calculates the heat loss for a building according to the standard NBN_EN_12831 using the calculation-excel of WTCB "design heat load".
The student calculates the global insulation level of a building.
The associate maintains his skill level by keeping up-to-date with technological developments and is self-critical.
The student explains the influence of several quantities on the value of the cooling load in air conditioning.
The student deduces different kinds of thermal loads using design conditions.
