Prerequisites

having finished at least 33 ects credits in the programme AND (previously registered for Workplace learning 1: exploration and preparation OR previously registered for Mechatronics) AND having passed, or having a tolerated mark for Electricity AC AND previously registered for Cooling load and heat loss study.
Re-sit exam: not possible.
Possibility of tolerance: You have to pass this course unit (will never be tolerated).

Learning outcomes (list)

The associate performs basic electrical, thermodynamic, hydraulic and aerological measurements and tests.
The student correctly estimates electric base measurements and tests considering the effective failure maintenance.
The student correctly estimates current-technical base measurements and tests considering effective failure maintenance.
The associate reads and interprets electrical, thermodynamic, hydraulic and aerological as well as simple P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagram) schemes and drawings and consults technical information, also in at least one foreign language.
The student reads and interprets air-conditioning technological (electric, mechanical) P&ID plans and drawings.
The associate works in a socially responsible, sustainable and qualitative way and applies safety guidelines and regulations in the domain of HVAC systems.
The student applies prescriptions and regulations concerning safety, environment and welfare in a reliable domain.
The student reflects on the compliance with the safety regulations on the workplace.
The associate advises and informs users, and proposes improvements regarding use and function.
The student informs and advises users, colleagues and executives on the state of the climate installations.
The student formulates proposals for possible preventive, corrective or adaptive interventions supervised by an executive.
The associate gives instructions to some co-workers regarding specific activities respecting safety, works constructively and flexibly in a team when planning and executing approved alterations and takes responsibility.
The student uses their social skills to construct and stimulate a supportive network within the given professional context in consideration of an efficient and effective work result.

The student works solution-focused and solves small problems (for example, small reparations).
The associate localises, identifies and diagnoses malfunctions/defects of climatisation systems, taking into account contextual elements and/or maintenance history in a residential and non-residential context.
The student reports on the results of the maintenance assignments as such that the maintenance plan is possibly adjusted in theme of curative fault management.
The student localizes, identificates and diagnoses failures in climate systems, taking the situational elements and/or maintenance history into consideration.
