having finished at least 51 ects credits in the programme AND (previously registered for Workplace learning 2 OR to be taken together with Workplace learning 2) AND to be taken together with Control techniques CL.
Re-sit exam: not possible.
Possibility of tolerance: You have to pass this course unit (will never be tolerated).

Learning outcomes (list)

The associate performs basic electrical, thermodynamic, hydraulic and aerological measurements and tests.
The student evaluates the commissioning of a (part) installation using base measurements or tests.
The associate reads and interprets electrical, thermodynamic, hydraulic and aerological as well as simple P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagram) schemes and drawings and consults technical information, also in at least one foreign language.
The student methodically completes assembling and disassembling activities using scheme's, drawings and work instructions.
The student consults technical information in Dutch and at least one foreign language.
The student reads and interprets climate technical (electric, mechanical) P&ID plans and drawings.
The associate works in a socially responsible, sustainable and qualitative way and applies safety guidelines and regulations in the domain of HVAC systems.
The student delivers high-quality work with attention to the finish, welfare, neatness, etc.
The students works time-sensitive and with precision on the climate installation.
The student implements prescriptions and regulations concerning safety, environment and welfare in a reliable domain.
The student evaluates the compliance with safety regulations at the workplace.
The associate advises and informs users, and proposes improvements regarding use and function.
The student informes and advises users, colleagues and executives on the construction and set up methods of the climate installations.
The associate gives instructions to some co-workers regarding specific activities respecting safety, works constructively and flexibly in a team when planning and executing approved alterations and takes responsibility.

The associate performs - independently and under supervision - the installation, activation and adjustment of climatisation systems in the domain of HVAC systems in a residential and non-residential context.
The student independently executes standardized activities in a climate system in a familiar domain under supervision of an executive.
The student executes various installation works.
The associate localises, identifies and diagnoses malfunctions/defects of climatisation systems, taking into account contextual elements and/or maintenance history in a residential and non-residential context.
The student looks up the cause of the disturbance in a climate system and sets up an action plan.
The associate takes into account specific risks of dangerous products and circumstances inherent to the field of climatisation and acts accordingly.
The student executes activities, such as restorations to the cooling circuit, replenishing or draining the coolant, instaling the parts, installation density, solder, (parameter) setting of the installation as a proper working whole and control of the established security under supervision of a certificated refrigeration technicians.
