Learning outcomes (list)

Understand
You relate the evolution of graphic design (colour, image, layout, typography, target group, style) to current examples and/or your own design.
You recognise and name important designers, styles and highlights from the history of graphic design.
You interpret and use typographical concepts correctly, both on micro and macro level (terminology, classification, letter choices, ...).
Explore
You distinguish the different choices (in terms of paper, finishing, printing techniques) that can be made at production level.
You experiment with the basic principles of composition when designing more complex print media products for a specific target group.
Materialize
You are able to deliver a technically correct PDF for various purposes (print ready, cPDF, interactive PDF, ...).
You apply (simple) colour management in your designs.
