Short description

With this course unit, we want to initiate students of the 3rd BA in professional practice, more specifically in the creation of applications and communication about the work. It can be seen as a precursor to Artistic Practice that will be further developed in the MA.

Learning outcomes (list)

BA1 - The student has the necessary artistic skills to design and/or realize a personal project within the broad spectrum of the visual arts under supervision.
The student can work out an assignment through research, planning, documentation, execution and presentation

Course content

This course unit addresses the link between the practice of the artist and that of the researcher in the arts. Various researchers active in the academy are brought into contact with the students, with the difference and overlap between artistic practice and research being the starting point.
Practice projects (collaborations with external partners, international projects, etc.) are used as case studies for writing research applications, giving lectures and communicating about the project in question.
