1. Physiology, care and guidance
The student describes the physiological changes in the maternity woman from the normal postnatal period.
The student demonstrates the supervision of breastfeeding.
The student can give appropriate advice in case of physiological complaints during breastfeeding.
The student names the composition and types of formula.
The student demonstrates the preparation and administration of formula.
The student is able to analyze and report relevant information in the mother-child file.
The student can describe the consequences of a physiological pregnancy and childbirth on the sexual health of the young parents.
The student describes the physiological observations in a healthy neonate.
The student is able to explain standard examinations in a healthy neonate.
The student describes the different steps in the neurological examination of the neonate.
The student demonstrates the hygiene concerns to the newborn.
The student can explain the vaccination schedule.
The student describes the physiological bilirubin metabolism.
3. Pathology, care and guidance
The student demonstrates wound care with suture removal.
The student can recognize the physiological course of the wound healing process.
The student demonstrates turning and translating in an ergonomic way.
4. Psycho-social context
The student describes the psychological changes in the maternity woman during the postpartum period.
The student describes the psychomotor development of the young child.
The student describes the impact of birth on the family in terms of parenting, partner relationship and family context.
5. Ethics and legislation
The student is able to explain the legislation regarding forms of relationship and cohabitation.
