Short description

Interdisciplinary projects are a challenge for visual art students. Their individual practice will be confronted with students from other disciples. Communication is key, but most of all, the motivation to co produce a project.

Prerequisite competencies (text)

After an introduction meeting with the participants (faculty, students,...). Students should team up with one or more students from a different discipline. Out of the box thinking is essential to articulate a cross disciplinary project. A showcase where visual arts and performance find each other.

Learning outcomes (list)

Course content

In a bachelor class a small group of students work together with a Theory teacher around a specific topic, that is relevant in the Visual Arts Program. The topic is examined from specific angles, so the students gain more insight into the specific topic. The student presents his critical reflection to the group (different evaluation forms).

  • Description: Sound&Vision is an interdisciplinary BA class. Students form visual arts work in close collaboration with students from the Antwerp royal Conservatoire on a performance
  • Remark: Within the realm of an interdisciplinaire project, the student is responsible and will have to show ownership.
