Learning outcomes (list)

BA1 - The student has the necessary artistic skills to design and/or realize a personal project within the broad spectrum of the visual arts under supervision.
The student can approach the costume and set design as a whole and convert two-dimensional forms into three-dimensional.
BA2 - The student has the necessary knowledge, skills and insights regarding material, form, action, concepts, function and contents of the chosen medi
The student has deepened his technical knowledge, both with regard to materials and forms.
The student can make a toile and adjust it to size.
BA3 - The student knows about and understands the social, cultural, artistic, historical and international context of the visual arts and artistic praxis, and continues to develop this knowledge and understanding.

Course content

Music theatre assignment

a.dramaturgical introduction to opera and music theatre;
b.dissection of an opera libretto and research into the dramaturgical meaning of the music
c.designing for opera singers, taking into account the specificity of singing and without losing the semiotics of the costume
2 Historical fact
a choice of a historical fact: own choice of a century or a year; historical research
interpretation of history and design of costumes and their execution, after study of the historical patterns
3 Cooperation with the Photography department
4 Youth theatre assignment in cooperation with Scenography
5 abstract assignment
