having passed Harmonizing at the Piano 2.

Learning outcomes (list)

1.1 The student masters the representative repertoire for his or her discipline.
The student can accompany more advanced chord progressions, and harmonise and re-harmonise them with extensions.
1.4 The student is musically creative.
The student explores improvisation techniques on the piano which are specifically targeted towards the student's principal instrument.
2.1 The student masters the musical parameters and structures.
The student masters basic piano skills and thereby achieves a better understanding of basic elements of jazz music (voice-leading, form, harmony, and rhythm).
2.2 The student makes progress through independent study.
The student can draw up an efficient study plan and follow it.
2.3 The student reads, analyses, writes and interprets music.
The student can use the piano as a means of helping with composition, arrangement, harmonisation and re-harmonisation.
The student can play a standard with two-handed more complex voicings with tensions (including left-hand rootless voicings).
The student can play and accompany simple chord progressions at sight.
