Educational organisation (text)

Within the course unit Music Practice, the student takes part in ensembles, productions, master classes, projects and/or study tours. This takes place in ensembles or within the
context of the class or professional group, whether or not in co-production with external organisations.

The masterclasses and class projects are communicated to the students at the beginning of the academic year; their presence is obligatory. Participation in study trips
(if applicable) is strongly recommended.

The assignment of students to ensembles and productions takes place via the production team in consultation with the instrument or singing teachers and/or department chairmen. However, students have the possibility to indicate their preference for certain projects via their instrument or voice teacher.

In addition to the Music Practice course, students can take on additional projects or productions via the optional course component 'extension of Music Practice'.
For every larger project (especially orchestral projects) one leader per string section will be appointed. These students are asked to help prepare the musical material and to play a responsible role in the production process.

Auditions will be held for certain productions, soloist and orchestra positions.
