Learning outcomes (list)

1.1 The student masters the representative repertoire for his or her discipline.
The student can perform the works from the repertoire list at a representative level with a correct knowledge of the text from the score.
The student can give an overview of the most important composers, works and recordings of the repertoire studied and can place these in an historical, socio-cultural and technical music context.
1.2 The student can make music in various styles.
The student can, with coaching from the teacher, perform the works from the repertoire list in a stylistically responsible way.
The student can put together a thematised concert programme on the basis of the literature covered.
2.1 The student masters the musical parameters and structures.
The student can describe (historical) recordings in a detailed and analytical way using the musical parameters.
2.2 The student makes progress through independent study.
The student applies a structured and regular study method.
2.3 The student reads, analyses, writes and interprets music.
The student can recognise the knowledge provided in the various subject matters of the course in the works from the repertoire list.
The student can critically analyse an edition of a score from the repertoire in terms of performance practice and can situate this in an historical context.
The student demonstrates fundamental harmonic understanding and analytical thinking skills in relation to the works on the repertoire list.
2.4 The student masters the correct playing techniques and postures.
The student can analyse acoustic principles in terms of his or her own instrument.
The student can describe from an analytical and functional point of the view the construction of the instrument, its technical playing properties and the consequences of these for the body's mobility.
4.1 The student has knowledge of the broader cultural and (musical) historical context.
The student can give an overview of the history and family of the instrument.
4.2 The student possesses the correct tools to carry out research.
