2.2 The student makes progress through independent study.
The student can recognize and notate scales (major and minor), pentatonic (major and minor), and blues scales by ear
The student can recognize and notate single intervals (major, minor, pure, diminished, excessive) by ear
The student can recognize and notate triads with inversions (major, minor, diminished, excessive) by ear
The student can recognize and notate four-note chords in root position (major, dominant, minor, minor-major, semi-decreased, diminished) as consonants and broken by ear
The student will be able to recognize and notate simple progressions (I-VI-II-V/II-V-I) by ear
The student can sing -both prepared and a prima vista- a simple melody in G and bass clefs on note names with correct intonation and rhythm
The student can sing simple melodies using numbers up to three key signatures
The student can sing a prima vista simple melodies using numbers up to one key signature.
