Learning outcomes (list)

1.4 The student is musically creative.
The student is able to improvise on a tonal basis on simple chord progressions.
The student knows basic scat syllables.
2.2 The student makes progress through independent study.
The student can form a study plan and follow it.
2.3 The student reads, analyses, writes and interprets music.
The student can sing a standard piece at sight and solo on it.
The student can make transcriptions of basic solos and roughly analyse them.
2.4 The student masters the correct playing techniques and postures.
The student masters techniques to improve his or her intonation.
The student can perform "Straight Timing" pieces with good timing.
The student can sing and implement basic licks.
The student can sing bass notes and guide tone lines on standard chord progressions.
The student can sing patterns on backdoor progressions, Confirmation Sequence (with a self-composed B-A3), 1-b2dim-2-b3dim-3, 5/5-5-1).
The student can perform technical studies (vocalises etc).
The student can play scales and arpeggios: harmonic major, subdominant minor in all intervals and triads/four-note chords.
The student can make transcriptions of basic vocal and instrumental solos by auditory assimilation and reproduction.
