Short description

You create your indiviual portfolio on Belgian culture following the instructions given in the beginning of this course. You will be invited to learn more about the Belgian culture trought going to museums, talking walks in Antwerp, analysing Belgian brands, visiting Belgian cities,... You will be asked to give a final presentation to a jury that shows and proves engagement in the different assignments.

There are no prerequisites for this course.

Educational organisation (text)

For this portfolio and your final presentation you have to work independently, there won’t be any coaching. One introductory session will be organised in the beginning of the semester and one intermediate session will be organised to discuss questions and problems.

Course content

You work individually on different assignments related to Belgian culture, at the end of which you make a presentation including a personal reflection on these different assignments. You will be invited to learn more about the Belgian culture through going to museums, attending cultural events (theatre plays, films, media events, …), visiting Belgian cities and analysing media houses or / and advertising companies, …. You will be asked to give a final presentation to a jury that shows and proves your engagement in the different assignments.

Process evaluation.
Product evaluation.
You will have to hand in a proof for each assignment in order to show personal involvement.

2nd session
Write short paper about your personal experiences in Belgium, including information from the different assignments.
