Learning outcomes (text)

The acquisition of techniques directly related to making music in a vocal group, choir or close harmony ensemble. The ability to work together with other vocalists. Learning to write one's own vocal arrangements. Learning to explain the desired sound.

Learning outcomes (list)

1.1 The student independently broadens and explores repertoire related to his or her discipline.
The student writes more advanced vocal arrangements which demonstrate the development of his or her personal style.
1.3 The student can take on a leading role in an ensemble.
The student demonstrates suitable musical leadership within the group.
The student internalises techniques specific to ensemble singing (vocal techniques, choir techniques, close harmony techniques, improvisation techniques, listening skills, etc).
2.1 The student has thoroughly mastered musical parameters and structures.
The student is able to make a substantial contribution to the group's timing.
The student is able to make a substantial contribution to the group sound and the musical group dynamic.
2.3 The student can process musical structures through analysis and interpretation.
The student can perform advanced vocal arrangements at sight.
