Learning outcomes (list)

Interpret and apply job-related rules and regulations, relating, in particular to: civil and judicial law, building and real estate law, environmental law, town and country planning law, tax law, ... and to advise on these in a meaningful manner.
The student can verify technical installations in a building against current regulations
Describe, analyse and assess the different types of real estate.
The student can recognize and describe the different materials and their applications
Give specific advice and carry out expert assessments.
The student can assess the performance of a technical installation
The student can make a diagnosis of damage of a building.
The student can make a reasoned proposal on material, upholstery and furnishing of a building
The student can propose various renovation options and evaluate them.
Technical knowledge related to construction, materials recognition, construction physics, construction pathology, renovation and maintenance.
The student has basic knowledge of renewable technologies
The student can describe the composition of the materials discussed
The student can recognize the different parts of a technical installation
The student can list the advantages and disadvantages of the various materials and their applications
The student can list the primary characteristics of the building materials
The student can explain the operation of the various technical installations in buildings and their components
The student can give an overview of the applications of the materials
