Learning outcomes (list)

BA1 - The student has the necessary artistic skills to design and/or realize a personal project within the broad spectrum of the visual arts under supervision.
The student has studied various imaging techniques, ranging from simple drawing and painting techniques to computer techniques, and can process his projects in various ways into a 2-dimensional image.

The student can come up with a autonomous project and give shape to it.
BA2 - The student has the necessary knowledge, skills and insights regarding material, form, action, concepts, function and contents of the chosen medi
The student can, if necessary, in addition to formal and practial knowledge, gather information concerning historical, social, sociological aspects.
The student has acquired practical knowledge about the use of hard and soft materials, adhesives, fastening systems, stability.
The student collects as much theoretical information as possible about the existence of a certain material or technical possibility, its availability, qualities and limitations, costs, and uses this information in practice.
The student can draw at an advanced level a perceived 3-dimensional subject on paper, estimate proportions correctly, suggest volume and depth, and develop a good layout.
The student can make a technical drawing to scale.
BA5 - When developing his/her personal visual language the students starts from a searching and reflective attitude when developing one's own visual language.
The student possesses an individual drawing language to make designs and/or forms tangible or transparent to third parties
BA6 - The student understands the characteristics of his/her personal designs and/or realizations and is able to communicate about this in an appropriate manner.
The student can explain and defend a dossier for a project.
BA7 - The student is able to organize his/her artistic project in consultation with others.
The student can analyze a location, make a design, draw up a (work) schedule, and convert the assignment into a scale model and dossier.
The student can draw up a plan, starting from the introduction to the design to its final realization.
The student can work individually, in pairs or in groups.

Course content

Atelier:
Make a realizable design for a assignment in the public space: content, formal, considering predefined constraints (time, budget and sustainability)
Realize individual and / or group projects.
Give a free project shape.
Constructive Drawing: Exercises related to the tasks of the workshop
Observation Drawing: for man and animal, object and space (inside and outside) with various techniques on various scales (A6 to A00)
Conceptual Drawing: make your studio projects visual on paper (2 dimensions) and suggest other environments or conditions in order to illustrate the various qualities of the design
