Short description

Research methodology 1 teaches the student basic technics and methods to search for information on subjects in the arts and deal with it in a critical manner. Basic (academic) writing skills are also covered.

Learning outcomes (list)

BA4 - The student develops and sharpens his/her critical and investigative attitude towards designs and/or realizations that arise from visual experiments and research, emotion and intuition.
The student can apply the learned methods and techniques for research and selection to a topic from current events.
The student can analyze, evaluate and select the requested information for her usefulness for writing a paper.
The student can develop a search strategy to collect information about a particular subject.
"The student knows different types of information sources such as reference works, bibligraphies, monographs, (scientific) journals, dissertations, electronic databases, audiovisual sources, etc. "
The student knows various methods and research techniques for the detection and handling of primary and secondary data.
